My Background
Hello, and thank you for taking the time to get to know a little bit more about me. I am looking forward to getting to know you as well! I am in the process of completing my clinical internship hours for my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health. I previously worked as a Special Education Teacher, and through a combination of these experiences, as well as personal experiences and other opportunities, I have cultivated a passion for helping parents, children, and individuals discover their strengths and build a foundation of mutual respect and compassionate communication. This can be done through both family/group counseling, as well as on an individual level.
When we work together, my primary focus will be on discovering who you are fully, and empowering your authentic self. My core value is love and I firmly believe that transformation can be found when we direct love toward the parts of us that are hurting or hiding, as well as to the fractured connections we have with others. My approach is person-centered, which means our sessions will be unique to you and your strengths. Together, we will consider your current patterns and foster new possibilities for how you think, behave, and process emotions. We will also practice communication skills to use with your family, partners, and friends. The beginning of a new experience can be daunting, and I invite you to reach out if you have any questions or concerns. I am excited to collaborate and walk with you along this next step of your journey!
